It's not easy to play in the snow when you're only 32 inches tall and the snow is 9 inches deep! A Sunday night snowstorm created quite a winter wonderland in our yard. Abby Kate's had a hard time walking in it, but she's still smiling.
Our neighbors invited us out to play Monday morning. You can see Abby Kate's pals peering into the window in the background of this picture.
Abby Kate didn't last very long because she couldn't keep mittens on her hands. Knee deep in snow!
We ventured out again Tuesday morning and she started getting the hang of walking in the snow.
She did better near the sidewalk where the snow had already been walked through and wasn't so deep. Abby Kate says "This is my house!"
Taking a taste of the snow from her mitten. She's probably thinking, "This tastes different than what Momma fed me yesterday."
We made snow ice cream... still have some in the freezer!

Cute snow baby! Every kid wants to taste the snow...must be some rite of passage and snow.
